Out of Many Things
It has been a warfare with media people at my work place. TeePeePee TeePeePot. TeePooPoo?
Speaking of that, yeah some speech of an opponent MP in Dewan Rakyat straight shot into my mind the other day.
His words were true.
How many of you realise our money or purchasing power is shrinking despite of all the free trade effort to minimise the cost of items especially food products?
It was so anal to find a bottle of lemon tea from the Shell Station ballooned up to RM2.50?
Mak ai, sejak bila harga barang naik mendadak?
I think our Government needs to do something. On the Labour Law, on the minimum wage.
You see, my rate perhour is RM5 at Starbucks. Compared to 10 years ago, during my casual worker stint in some hotels, the pay was RM4 perhour, RM1 increase within 13 years of time.
Gilo siot. Itu adalah guna tenaga kemahiran rendah. RM1 increase, nak makan apa budak budak sekarang ni?
Lets compare how I fare last time and now.
Kerja Shangrila ( tahun 1999) . RM4/sejam x 8 jam sehari x 7 hari : RM224/seminggu. RM896/sebulan
Harga minyak seliter : RM1.20 seliter (RON 95) : pegi balik USM-KOMTAR : RM12.00
Ice lemon tea sebotol : RM1.20
Harga rokok Dunhill 20 : RM2.20 sekotak
Sewa Bilik : RM200/sebulan (Apartment)
Motor dah abes bayar
Kerja Starbucks ( tahun 2013) : RM5/sejam x 8 sehari x 7 hari : RM280/seminggu. RM1120/sebulan
Harga minyak seliter : RM1.90 seliter (RON95) : Midvalley-Jalan Duta RM50
Ice lemon tea sebotol : RM2.50
Harga rokok Dunhill 20 : RM10.20 sekotak
Sewa Bilik RM400/sebulan (Apartment) : aku amik bilik utk seorang , kalau sewa rumah mmg tak aci.
Kete : RM495 sebulan loan gomen
Increament within 14 years, lets say : RM224, RM16 setahun.
Barang/sewa bilik/ makanan naik dua kali ganda.
Harga minyak naik 58%.
Harga rokok tak yah citer, sebab sin tax : tapi tak cover jugak ketirisan yg berlaku sbb subsidi lain.
Patut gaji pun naiklah dua kali ganda = RM1792. ini tidak defisit lagi : RM630. mana mau cekau babe? Mak bapak jugak.
Memang patutlah budak budak muda sekarang ni sanggup baring kat tepi jalan demi Black Out 505.
Den tak heran.
