Yuna - Decorate
As usual an album review is just a review.
How do i get a copy?
On my way to buy Slurpee for Fatiha. Then I noticed a poster with CD covers on the glass window of the shop. Selling albums in convenient store? Cool! For people who has no time visiting record stores, that is so convenient.

My say?
The album has 10 songs; couples from the debut album (shall I say it was more to a demo version) and some new songs.
The music sounds edgier this time, where Ms.Yuna has been backed up with some pros and too bad I expected more percussion or at least some wind instruments like my favourite trombone.
However, she still stick to some piano tunes. The song "Penakut" is a good composition. A slow number, simple piano tune for intro, some cello, the drum part is in slow marching beat which I think she is experimenting and surprisingly at the end of the song, it is an uplifting tune. Perfect for a weary listerner. Even for a movie sound track.
Other worthy songs to mention are "Decorate" and "Super Something". Many chances for Yuna to make extra money for converting them into commercial theme songs cause these two are very catchy and short.
My favourites are;
'Gadis Semasa' - Sophisticated, edgier, 70's kinda, prove Yuna has probably gone through a difficult time to produce the superb lyrics. Not usual Yuna kind of song. A potential for a hit jazz number too.
'Cinta Sempurna' - a slow number that capture my attention straight away cause it sounds a bit like Faizal Tahir's. Love the violin piece that comes with the song.....
"Rocket", Permission" and "Super Something" - Again, as what I have mentioned. Rocket and Permission are from the previous album.
Overall.....
I believe Yuna is ready to spread her wing further, and you people please support her by buying an original album OK! No downloading or ripping.
Wonder she has Itunes for this one.

the only malay album that i would buy original would be from KRU. and that was some time ago. hahahahahahahaahha. i haven't buy a malay album for a long time. the last would be classical bolshoi p ramlee, which was rearranged and performed by an orchestra.
