Inception : My Review

Ok, I had to admit that I was sold with the review given by Akmal, so that was it.

A movie night out with friends, Azah and Azni. Little did I know this complex movie was ubat tidur yang paling mujarab! I was sleeping twice during the movie.Huhu. Sorry Azni, my snoring due to my tiredness of the day's work was the "kick" for you to wake me up. Next time we hang out OK?

So after some discussion with Azah at the hotel, I wasn't alone to feel the movie wasn't good enough. My friend even mentioned,

"what the heck lar Mr.Saito really wanted Fischer to dissolve the business empire through the dream while he could hire a sexy siren or a whore to lure that man. It would be that simple".

Ahhahahah, you are right!

Saito's motive was not critical enough. If it was for the sake of spying deadliest weapon secret or to avoid any war in this world, we could just agree. Why not planting some ideas in the mind of Ben Netanyahu or any extremist leaders? For the sake of world peace kan?


And one thing that did not make sense; if Cobb really wanted to see his kids, why not asking the father-in-law who hold the custody to bring them to France rather Cobb risking his self to be caught later by accepting Saito's term? Hehehehe, talking about being logic and practical.


OK, the only thing that make sense was the whole idea of the concept. In the movie, it is possible to have layers of dream. You can be in a dream within a dream, yes, I did it before and the "kick" mentioned was also true, whether,the act of falling down or simply some muscle shock which keep us awake. U guys pernah kan terjaga mimpi selepas mimpi terjatuh bukan?


Wake up, Leo, Wake up!.

One thing I notice that the time in our dream seems longer than the real sleeping hour. You can dream of something like some visit to a foreign country or some adventure, within a few hours of sleep. The next thing you know, when you wake up, it is a pretty feeling good thing.


While Cobb and his friends are able to select and design their dreams, our sub conscious mind will determine the dream type for us, yup, if we manage to choose that, some of us prefer to be in the state of dreaming, rather to face the reality hehehehehehhehehe. Like Mal, Mr.Cobb's wife, who got confused with both world and committed suicide.


So, in the end, it wasn't impressive enough for me with the concept and the weak story line for a sci-fi. I would prefer Leo's performance in Shutter's Island rather than this one and to say Matrix is better, yes it is.

Time to get back to my DVD watching.
