Hari Raya

Hari Raya for me should be a personal event.

Even visiting families, who have not see me almost a decade, they were curious.

U see, being the eldest, everyone has this expectation of the person to be the best, with an established career, lead a flawless family life, earns couples of bucks of five figures and things will be so perfect.

Unfortunately, every one does not.

Happened that one of my relatives works as the legal head of this international bank. My "missing of action" has sparked some controversial topic among them as if, my life direction has been dictated and should be in that way.

"what makes you to embrace motherhood so early in your life?"

they were shocked to find me being a single mother without notice and they were so curious. My career track perhaps did not impress them so much though accidentally known that my ex-SUB was my uncle's school mate. Networking, networking.

"When you are alone, do you expect your kid to "teman" you?"

All the cynism and 'stigma' being in this high flyers family somehow made me entertained with sort of questions that may put you to the lowest ground.

"well being single or with spouse, married or not, every woman has that mother's instinct. Even before Madonna and Angelina have theirs, I had mine and its pretty cool.It is the calling. And most importantly, it is about giving without expecting anything in return."

Whoa, the expression of their face with that kind of answer given was priceless.
