Old Friend......

On my trip to Jusco (i was searching for the perfect gown for Fatiha, its all about Najib's convo) , i accidentally met an old friend. He stood there, still with that smiling face and handsome features, only to be greeted with a tired face of mine. He was my ex-pen pal.
Fadzli was one of the earliest male i have connection with, without any physical attraction or you know what i mean! We were drawn to letter writing, even before the famous e-mail came to this world. How did i know him? It was so nostalgic. Camera roll, please!
I was in Form Two, still in that innocent look and fulled with zest. Being one of the girls, where a Kurshian do have that "i can do" attitude with grace and elegance, yikes , could not think of that again! we were bonded through our third language classes, which was Japanese. Our cute and sexy Senseis asked us to make greeting cards in Jap (urghh, i had to admit that i spent the entire prep class to decorate the card) and these cards from TKC would be shown at the Japanese Class Room in Sekolah Tuanku Abdul Rahman or better known as STAR, an all boy full boarding school which excel in Rugby (even Fadzli was one of the teammates.)
He was so popular and because of that, there was a rival to get to know me after they had seen my card. There was a few letters that i received (they were really impressed with my card's deco, ehehheh i was very good in art then), but Fadzli's letter stood out from the rest. He was being sincere, did not sound cocky or with that " i want to know you because your card look cute and you must look cute too" attitude. Only by the second letter, i had the gut to attach my pic and still getting his mail. Thank god!
He came to TKC for the Japanese night, where gals and boys from all the boarding school would have 3 day and nite get together - singing, dancing, drama and prize giving ceremonies for Jap classes. I was being scared of meeting him. I even changed my original name with another girl in the group. He even met that lucky girl! I only watched him from far. So much for my insecurities!
Anyway, the story became very interesting when we admitted to each other that somebody pretended to be ourselves that nite. It was funny. It was because we are scared if we could not make any impression on each other, so the next meeting for the real person was forwarded to three years later, British Education Fair, in PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.
He was leaving for England, due to his excellence in studies for a pilot in the future. He definitely looked cute in that pilot 's uniform. I was nothing, so i decided that there was our first and last meeting. It was quite an heart ache, but if i were to continue to be his pen pal and hide my crush, i would be in real trouble.
So, our encounter in Jusco proved that i was wrong, i mean he admitted that i was being too carried away with that impression thingy, so he thought that i was being snobbish. He wanted to continue the friendship without any string attached. He even said that anything could be developed if he kept in touch with me while he was in UK. Damn! I was really a loser!
Anyhow, he is a cute engineer with Petronas and just gotten himself married to this lucky lady. One of the best male species around, and i am still keeping my finger crossed, just in case i am being lucky again! Hopefully.......
