Moving to a new office
It has been a long time for not updating this blog. I was occupied with things for our TPM office and the audit session with our consultant. Luckily, the arrangement was done quite smoothly but let me describe some things happened lately.
Scene 1
Ms Busy: Hello, itu pejabat TPM IT ker? Boleh saya cakap dengan encik R?
Ms.receptionist: Ya, boleh call this number 8998 xxxx tak?
Ms.Busy: thanks. (Hung up the phone)
Scene 2
Ms. Busy dialled the number given. Line was not answered. Kept wondering where did the guy
go. Hmm,,,,, coffee break maybe. Will call after lunch hour. This is the first priorty for today.
Scene 3
Dialled again the number. Need to have this guy to let our TELEKOM installer come to install
our telephone line, or we will be in trouble. Have to call, boss said, line should be ready for next week's operation. Still no answer. Tried again another number.
Ms.Busy: hmm, dapat pun. Itu Cik S kan?
Mr.S: Ya, boleh saya bantu?
Ms.Busy: U ada nombor handphone encik R tak? i call tak dapat dapat pun. Dari pagi sampai tengahari.
Mr.S : Sorry, its against our company policy. Lagipun i tak boleh bagi nombor phone baru dia.You shoud dial lagi.Maybe dia jalan jalan kot.
Ms.Busy: ??????? oklah i call lagi nanti petang.
Hung up the phone, feeling a bit dissapointed with that lousy reason - policy matters.
Scene 4
Ms.Busy: Hello TPM IT. Boleh dapatkan saya nombor handphone Encik R?
Ms.Receptionist: Sorry cik. Nombor baru dia kita tak der. takperla u nak tinggal pesan?
Ms. Busy : (started to get annoyed) Apa ni? Call dari pagi sampai petang, tak dapat dapat.
Buat kerja atau pergi membuta? I pun tak da masa nak carik orang ni. Baik tak payah kerja, balik rumah , jaga anak saja. U pun satu, takkan HR (human resource) tak amik tahu u punya staff attitude.....
Ms. Receptionist: (In scared tone...hiihihihihihi) Maaflah cik, dia ni nak resign dah, faham faham lah kan orang macam ni.
Ms.Busy: Apa????? ( in pretentious high pitch.....hihihihiihhii) Suka ati mak bapak jer buat ofis macam rumah, OK esok saya call lagi. Kalau tak dapat, i suruh my people pecahkan bilik LAN tu. Thanks!
Felt a bit relieved. It has been one bloody day to spent my precious time on that stupid thing.
It was too bureaucratic, like government way of managing their organization. Lot of Procedure
and regulation but no action. Have been thinking to curse these people for nothing...hihihihihih
